Absolute Black
Absolute Black is a dense, jet-black granite (geologically a fine-grained gabbro/dolerite) quarried in southern India, with major sources in Karnataka and the Warangal area of Telangana. Formed from slowly cooled iron- and magnesium-rich magma, it owes its uniform black color to dark minerals like pyroxene and plagioclase feldspar with almost no visible grain or movement. The trade name simply describes its defining quality: a near-perfectly solid, consistent black, prized for sleek modern countertops. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
