African Rainbow

African Rainbow is quarried in Namibia in southern Africa, and is technically a banded gneiss/migmatite rather than a true granite. Intense heat and pressure deep in the Earth folded its minerals into flowing, multicolored bands of gold, brown, gray and burgundy that give the stone its 'rainbow' name. The dramatic striping makes each slab a high-movement statement piece. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
