Caledonia
Caledonia is a Canadian granite quarried at Rivière-à-Pierre in central Quebec, one of the largest-volume granite quarries in Canada. A true Precambrian igneous granite, it is medium-to-coarse grained with brown, black and gray quartz and feldspar inclusions giving a warm gray-brown tone. 'Caledonia' is the old Latin name for Scotland, lending it a traditional, heritage character. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
