Sapphire Blue

Sapphire Blue is a striking blue granite quarried in the Telangana region of southern India and processed in cities such as Bangalore and Chennai. Geologically it is a very coarse-grained cordierite-bearing rock of the Precambrian period, with large brown-red feldspar phenocrysts and blue-grey quartz that produce its deep blue, grey and black tones flecked with white. The name 'Sapphire Blue' directly evokes the gemstone-like blue cast of the stone.
