Ubatuba
Ubatuba (Verde Ubatuba / Green Ubatuba) is named after the coastal city of Ubatuba in São Paulo state, Brazil, and is one of the country's classic exports. Geologically it is a charnockite, a granite-family igneous rock, whose dark green-to-black body is flecked with gold, gray and green and shows large alkali-feldspar crystals. It has been a fabricator staple for decades thanks to its consistent dark, speckled look. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
