Quartzite
Florida Wave
Florida Wave is a Brazilian quartzite distributed by MSI, quarried in Brazil and known for creamy whites and soft grays threaded with delicate charcoal veins. It is a metamorphic quartzite, formed when an ancient quartz sandstone recrystallized under heat and pressure into a hard, interlocking quartz rock that outperforms granite in scratch and etch resistance. The name 'Florida Wave' evokes the gentle, wave-like flow of its soft veining rather than a geographic source. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
