Quartzite
Gray Canyon
Gray Canyon is a Brazilian quartzite distributed by MSI, quarried in Brazil and featuring icy whites, grays, and creams with charcoal veins and a hint of green. It is a metamorphic quartzite, formed when an ancient quartz sandstone recrystallized under heat and pressure into a hard, dense surface that resists scratches and etching far better than granite. The name 'Gray Canyon' evokes the layered, carved look of canyon rock rather than the stone's actual Brazilian quarry. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
