Quartzite
Glacier Wave
Glacier Wave is a Brazilian quartzite offered by MSI, quarried in Brazil and known for a soft dove-gray color with subtle tone-on-tone waves. As a quartzite it formed when quartz-rich sandstone recrystallized under heat and pressure into a dense, hard stone with strong resistance to scratching and etching, and it is durable enough to withstand freezing climates. The name 'Glacier Wave' evokes the cool, rippling look of glacial ice rather than a geographic source. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
