Quartzite
Acquatic
Acquatic is a Brazilian quartzite distributed in the US by MSI, quarried from Brazil's quartzite-rich regions and named for its watery palette of cool grays and soft, flowing veins. Like all quartzite, it began as a quartz-rich sandstone that recrystallized under intense heat and pressure into a dense, interlocking quartz rock that is harder than granite and highly resistant to scratching and etching. The 'Acquatic' trade name evokes the rippling, coastal look of its tone-on-tone veining. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
