Cristallo is a Brazilian quartzite sold in the US by MSI, sourced from Brazil and known for a cool white backdrop with delicate gray veining and warm orange flecking. It is a true quartzite, formed when quartz-rich sandstone recrystallized under heat and pressure into a hard, dense stone with excellent resistance to scratches and etching, exceeding granite in hardness. The name 'Cristallo' (Italian for 'crystal') evokes the bright, crystalline clarity of its quartz-rich, light-toned surface. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
