Quartzite
Denali
Denali is a Brazilian quartzite distributed by MSI, quarried in Brazil and featuring a cool gray background with subtle light greige veining. It formed through metamorphism, when ancient quartz sandstone recrystallized under heat and pressure into a dense, interlocking quartz matrix that is harder and more scratch- and etch-resistant than granite. The name 'Denali,' borrowed from North America's highest peak, evokes a cool, snowy, mountainous mood rather than the stone's actual Brazilian source. Stone reads differently in person — full slabs vary in movement and tone from any single swatch, so we'll pull the actual slab for you to see before anything is cut.
